NICHOLA TAYLORSON TARAKA EMBROIDERED CUSHION

Taraka in Sanskrit means 'star', which is the inspiration behind this design, by British textile designer Nichola Taylorson. The bold, geometric pattern has been mud printed by hand and dyed with 100% natural indigo dye.  The skill of talented artisans in Jaipur is clearly shown in the hand embroidered pattern. A plain white linen on the reverse side completes the look.

Dimension: 45cm x 45cm. Comes with feather filled insert. Dry clean only.

About the Designer:

UK designer Nichola Taylorson creates bespoke, handmade, luxury textiles. The fabric for each piece is hand printed and naturally dyed, combined with digital and hand embroidery, creating a tactile contemporary look. Her ideas and inspiration come from an extensive stint living and working in India, working as a European designer for a furnishing manufacturing company, where she learnt many new design techniques. It was while in India that her business idea was born and began to blossom. She combines contemporary design methods with traditional craft and natural dyes.
