JONATHAN ADLER PALM SPRINGS DOT VASE
The latest pottery collection, Palm Springs, by New York designer Jonathan Adler are all hand-thrown by skilled artisans in his Peruvian workshop. A monochrome dream, each piece in the series is thrown from black stoneware infused with chunky grog and trimmed and chattered (when a potter rhythmically bounces a tool across the vessel's surface), creating a striated texture. Patterns are masked off using tape and wax resist before being finished with a satin-matte ivory glaze.
Dimensions: 10.5" Dia, 15" H. Materials: High-fired stoneware: black grog and white glaze. Hand wash only.
About the brand:
New York Potter, designer and author Jonathan Adler launched his namesake brand after leaving his day job to pursue his first love: pottery. In 1993, Barneys bought his collection of pots, and five years later, he opened his first store in Soho. Jonathan’s desire to design all the bits one needs to create a flawlessly chic home led to more and more. Today, with over twenty stores worldwide he strives to create luxe and livable interiors that are seriously designed, but don’t take themselves too seriously.
