Husband and wife team Leanne and Guy Hundleby are the brilliant minds behind the Edinburgh-based, independent luxury bag brand and design house, Strathberry.

Producing a stunning collection of hand made leather handbags, in small batches using only the finest materials, the brand has literally taken the fashion world by storm this year for its sophisticated, modern designs inspired by age old craftsmanship and iconic brass bar detailing from traditional music cases.

Nominated for Scottish Accessory Designer of the Year 2015, a listing by Vogue magazine as one of this years new "It bags," not to mention being spotted on the arm of many a celeb across the world, has resulted in mega demand for these highly covetable gems from Scotland.

We are extremely excited to announce that our much anticipated new Strathberry stock has arrived this week at PAD, and now online too - just in time for the party season! Hooray!

The exquisite Strathberry Tote is back in black and vanilla (one of our favorites at PAD!), as is the irresistible MC Mini's in blossom, navy, black and ruby, and the MC Midi in vanilla, black, ruby and navy.

And proving the best things really do come in small packages we have new stock of the amazing MC Nano - a perfectly formed, tiny little satchel in black as well as wonderfully cute pastels, dusky pink and powder blue.

Each bag takes up to 14 hours to make by its team in Spain using locally sourced leather, high quality luxury linings and gold plated brass hardware. The leatherwork is carried out by craftsmen who have been in the business all their working lives, many having previously made bags for the likes of Givenchy, Chloe, Loewe and Chanel.

There is no wonder why this brand's products keep flying off the shelves as soon as they arrive. Indeed, keeping up with demand is a constant challenge for Strathberry as the brand commits fully to its production ethos for quality over quantity, and its meteoric rise into celebrity status.

"For us it's about attention to detail and taking pride in the quality we achieve.  Whether it's the hand finished edge painting (this in itself a six stage process), or carefully stitching together the leather, we need to ensure that everything we do is in-line with our own high standards and the standards expected by our customers."

For further inspiration take a look at their video to see the fantastic craftsmanship and production process of these wonderful bags for yourself.

Closing the gap between designer and high street is what makes these bags so attractively priced for their impressive level of quality and attention to detail. I know what's on my Christmas list!!
